Description:

The CO2 and O2 training tables have been crafted to aid in acclimating your body to increased carbon dioxide levels and reduced oxygen levels, thereby bolstering your breath-holding capabilities. Each session consists of a sequence of eight breath-holding drills, offering distinctive protocols tailored to each type of table.
During a CO2 training session, the duration of each breath hold remains fixed while the recovery time between holds diminishes progressively. Conversely, in an O2 training session, the recovery time between breath holds stays constant as the duration of each breath hold extends gradually.
For optimal performance, it's recommended to engage in these training sessions on solid ground, preferably while reclining on a comfortable surface like a bed or sofa. Experts suggest adjusting the CO2 table to roughly 50% of your maximum breath-holding capacity and the O2 table to around 85% of your maximum breath-holding capacity.
Given the demanding nature of O2 training near your maximum breath-holding limit, it is crucial to avoid engaging in these exercises underwater. Additionally, it is advisable to restrict yourself to a single recreational freediving training session per day and refrain from pursuing maximum breath holds on the same day. It is advised not to engage in over-breathing during the recovery intervals between breath holds as it may diminish the efficacy of the training regimen.
